Clarkes Hotel has long been part of the town’s historic landscape. The building reflects the character of the hill station’s early hospitality architecture, where timber framed structures and views of the surrounding hills shaped the experience of staying in the mountains.

Our work at The Clarkes focuses on carefully restoring and sensitively upgrading the historic structure while allowing it to continue functioning as a contemporary hotel. The process began with a close study of the building’s existing fabric, identifying areas that required repair as well as elements that carried the strongest architectural character.
