Parker Hall has long been one of the central gathering spaces at Woodstock School in Mussoorie. Over the years it has hosted performances, assemblies, and celebrations, becoming closely woven into the everyday life of the campus.

When the school began looking at ways to renew and care for its historic performance spaces, we were invited to lead the restoration of Parker Hall.

The work was approached as both repair and renewal. In collaboration with a team of specialist consultants, the project carefully addressed the building’s structural condition while upgrading its lighting, mechanical systems, and accessibility. Each intervention was considered with the aim of improving how the hall functions today without altering the character that makes it familiar to generations of students.

Rather than transforming the building, the effort was to work with what already existed — strengthening the hall so it could continue to support performances and gatherings well into the future.

Parker Hall remains much as it has always been: a space for the school community to come together, now better prepared for the years ahead.
