As part of the school’s overall conservation strategy, the first project undertaken was the structural stabilization of the main building. The works included consolidation through the least invasive high-technology Helifix Systems, waterproofing of the terrace to make the structure wind- and water-tight, careful cleaning of the facade using water washing, repointing exposed brickwork with lime mortar, rainwater management improvements, and provision of plinth protection.
